From Fred Kuhar and Classic Records comes this 10th CD release of vintage live recordings of this duo's band recorded at (Frankie) Kramer's Lounge in 1965-66 and Hofbrau Haus in 1967. 32 tracks of Slovenian Cleveland style polkas & waltzes with a few variety tunes as well. These discs are new to us from Dayton, Ohio's Frank Svet dating back to 2010. Frank is backed up on all of these Slovenian Cleveland style recordings by many fine musicians including Walter Ostanek & Bob Kravos among many others. No-Svet contains 14 polkas & waltzes, More Svet contains 17 tracks (12 polkas & waltzes and 5 variety selections), Don't Svet It contains 17 tracks (14 polkas & waltzes plus 3 variety selections).

Another release from his Otter Creek series, this one features just as the title states (non-polka). All 17 tracks are done in the original country style & tempos using assorted button boxes from Ron's collection. This is a CD remaster of an album only available on vinyl back in 1982. 15 button box selections from this talented but briefly fromed group from Lorain, Ohio. CDs are $13 including postage and available from Peppermint Records.

Al produces this entire recording himself featuring 27 tracks (19 original) of polkas, waltzes and varitey music. He grew up in Vandergrift, PA, and later moved to Lorain, OH, when he married his wife LeEtta in 1962. Check his website for many more of his recordings available.

Tony puts together this album for all his friends and fans he's met over the past 50 years as a member of the Dick Tady Orchestra in Pittsburgh, PA. 21 tracks of polkas, waltzes, tangos, Latin and more (hence the title). Tony also enlists help from some great musicians including Dick Tady, Joe Alsippi, Fred Gregorich, Michael Cushma, Frank Puskar and Paul Jacobson plus the vocals of Darlene Fejka, John Ross, Albert Battistelli IV and Ken Umeck.

This recording has long been in the works but now makes its release in November, 2017. Rob, residing in Dearborn, Michigan, grew up being taught by Benzy Rathbone in Western Pennsylvania and playing & recording in bands from his hometown before leaving for Michigan in 1990 and joining the Klancnik Brothers Orchestra, Eddie Adamic, then starting his own band in 1997.15 classic Cleveland Style polkas and 2 waltzes make up this 17 track disc. Joining Rob on the project are Dick Kuciemba (sax, clarinet), David Hall (drums) and Mikey Dee (acoustic bass).

Joe Godina of Spotlight Inernational in Hermitage, PA, puts together this project of Frankie Spetich's older material previously only found on 45 RPMs from the 1950s and 2 tracks that were never released, 18 selections in total. Frankie and his band entertained for many years throughout the miswest polka belt from his home base in Barberton, Ohio. He passed away at the age of 88 in 2012.

John Hapser from www.polkas.nl releases this digital master of The Best of the late Dave Wretschko and his orchestra.Dave passed at the far-to-young age of 36 in 1990. Before he left, he released two albums on his own and one with Pittsburgh band leader Jack Tady. This disc contains most of those songs - 21 tracks with the "Wretschko style."

Patty Candela heads up this "Button Box Group of the Year" (as voted by members of the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame) from Cleveland, Ohio. Their first CD release contains 15 tracks of button box music backed up by piano accordion, sax, drums & guest artist Denny Bucar on bass guitar.

This one-song release was the result of a Youth Recording Workshop that was held at the Polka Fireworks weekend at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, PA, in July 2016. It created an opportunity for a group of over 50 young people (musicians and/or singers) intersted in polka music to experience the process creating a studio recording and music video. The song, written by Randy Koslosky, is available as a FREE download and you can view the video from the website below as well.

Mikey, currently residing in White Oak, PA, remembers his Christmas memories growing up and incorporates all those into his latest effort containing 14 tracks of Christmas classics done with mostly his own Croation "tamburitza" feel along with sax, bass, guitar and drums.

John Hapser from www.polkas.nl releases Hank's 100th Jubilee Album with 24 "best of" selections hand-picked by Hank. His recording career began in the 1960s and features his wide array of polka styles including Cleveland, Slovenian, German, Oberkrainer and Bohemian styles.

Johnny produces his third effort with 12 tracks including 9 originals of polkas & waltzes. Special guests include Adam Bell, Mikey Dee, Larry Divis among others on this disc released in September 2016.

As the title says, Fred & Steve were cousins whose families would visit each other in Southwestern Pennsylvania in their younger days. They both took an interest early on in the music of Kenny Bass' Polka Poppers from the 1950s-60s. This album was the culmination of that love of Bass' music. Steve recorded his accordion tracks about one year prior to his passing in 2009. Fred then enlisted former Bass band members Dick Flaisman (sax) & Ronnie Sluga (banjo) to round out the Bass sound. 17 tracks (16 polkas, one waltz) of Bass classics are featured on this release.

John Hapser from www.polkas.nl releases 23 selections from Cleveland's Hank Haller Ensemble in honor of Hank's 80th birthday. Hank's recording career began in the 1960s and features his wide array of polka styles including Cleveland, Slovenian, German, Oberkrainer and Bohemian styles.

John Hapser from www.polkas.nl does another great job remastering & re-releasing this album from 1993 which was only originally available in cassette format. 9 songs each (18 tracks total) from both Walter's and Eddie's bands along with Pittsburgh's own Sam Pugliano featured on 4 of Walter's tracks. I believe the original release only contained 12 tracks, so bonus selections from both bands are included.

With the help of John Hapser from www.polkas.nl comes Walter's 100th album release, a milestone for Canada's Polka King. 23 tracks are featured that were once recorded and/or written by the late Cleveland great Eddie Habat, done in Walter's style.

New to us are these two recordings from Milwaukee's Jeff Winard. "All Time Great Polkas" (2014) contains 20 tracks and "On the Road..." (2000) contains 19 tracks total including the remastered version of the original LP plus bonus tracks from two of Jeff's other albums and two tracks from Tom Brusky's compilation cassette release from the 1990s.

This multi-talented young man heads up his own band on this release of 15 Cleveland style polkas and waltzes. Aaron can play over 20 different instruments as well as perform German & Slovenian style music.

Del & the guys record this disc of 13 old time country selections a few years after their rendition of "Look At Us" was a big hit with polka radio and fans Features all slow songs sung by Del Sinchak & Alan Koss.

Alex Meixner heads up this project to "redo" some of the old, classic arrangements of this ensemble. The CD contains 14 tracks of mostly midwest Dutchmen-style polkas, waltzes and a schottische and features familiar names from the polka business such as Hank Guzevich, Don Hunjadi, Ed Klancnik plus the vocals of Abby Broeniman.
